Sydney-Australia has secured about one million additional doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine from Poland, which will begin arriving on Sunday night, said Scott Morrison.

The doses provided by the Polish government are targeted at Australians aged 20-39, especially in Sydney, where transmissions have plummeted to record highs.

Australia had previously contracted for 14 million Pfizer doses, Morrison said.

At a press conference in Canberra, Morrison thanked Poland and Poland’s Prime Minister Mateus Moraviecki.
