Mickelson apologizes for comment and closes transaction with KPMG

Phil Mickelson apologized on Tuesday for comments on the proposed Super League with Saudi Arabia. He claims it is off-record and is not intended to be shared publicly. Mickelson also said in his statement that he has felt the pressure and stress that has affected him at a deeper level over the past decade and he needs to leave. KPMG is also the first Mickelson corporate sponsor to announce the end of its partnership, the company said.
