3 deadly shootings in 6 days in London

Three people were shot dead in six days in separate killings in London.

Recently, a man in his twenties was shot in Wood Green, north of London, around 9:30 pm on Sunday.

Police, including armed police, were called to the high road near Woodgreen Subway Station, which provided first aid to the victims.

Despite treatment by medical personnel from land and air ambulances, he was sentenced to death at the scene at 10 pm. His family was told.

In less than 24 hours, another man, 28-year-old Sam Brown, was shot deadly at Cenny Row Park in Waltham Forest, east London, around 12:30 am on Sunday.

He was taken to the hospital but later died.

Locals said they were expecting trouble when a group of up to 100 people gathered at Chenie Row Park.

One man who didn’t want to be named said, “I’ve seen more and more children appear before, so we … thought there would be a fight.”

At the same time as Brown, a second man was taken to the hospital with a stab. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, he was later dismissed and arrested “in connection with the incident.”

The two deadly shootings follow another killing after a 26-year-old man was shot dead on Bruckner Street in Queen’s Park, western London, early on Tuesday, July 19.

Seven were arrested for death and later released during an investigation.

The death toll from this deadly gun within a week is rare in London.

In 2021, there were 12 fatal shootings out of a total of 134 murders recorded by the Metropolitan Police Department.

Earlier this year, in April, the military said gun crime had declined and the number of all shootings, including fatal and non-fatal, had dropped from 283 in 20/20 2019 to 196 in 2021/22.
