Filipino-American MMA fighter beats NYC man accused of six separate indiscriminate attacks

A Filipino-American mixed martial artist reportedly stopped an attacker after he witnessed him punch another man in a one-sided attack in New York City. Obi, Lo Maravanan, was on his way to work on July 27 when he saw a homeless man (later identified as 28-year-old Samuel Frazier) hit a SoHo construction worker with a sucker. Witnesses informed Maravanan that Frazier had also attacked other men before the construction workers, prompting mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters to chase the men.
