Contorcourt, Que.-State police say a child is among the five injured in a Sunday night shooting in the Montreal region.
Police spokesman Jean-Raphaƫl Drolet said today that the shooter targeted a car with four people in it around 7:30 pm, before the driver slipped into the ditch.
According to Droretto, the boy, whose age was not disclosed, was hit by a bullet while standing outside his home in Contorcourt, northeast of Montreal.
He states that the boy’s life is not at stake and that state police serious criminal forces are investigating.
Droretto said four people in the car were injured and taken to the hospital, adding that the driver’s injury was serious.
According to police, a 37-year-old man hid in a nearby residence and was arrested around 3 am this morning.
