A 73-year-old man is accused of kidnapping a couple hiking with a gun in Jefferson County and attaching a nylon “string” to a woman, according to Colorado Sheriff officials. ..
Kelly End Three has been charged with Kidnapping and menacing After the incident on Friday, June 17, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
At 8:10 am, a hiker called 911 and reported that he saw a man with two hikers, a man and a woman, at the muzzle of the trail.
Husbands and wives later told their agents that they faced them with pistols and overtook a man who appeared to tie his shoes on the trail when he caught them, according to sheriff officials.
They admitted End Three, who tried to disguise himself, as a kidnapper, Release said. Her agent said Endsley has a history of harassing women.
According to officials, Endsley ordered the woman to go to the ground and then hang a nylon “string” around her neck. He began to take the couple away, but the man took away his pistol.
The couple ran away and encountered an agent answering the 911 phone call. The agent found Endsley a little further away.
Endsley pulled a stun gun from his waistband and turned it to his agent, Release said. One lieutenant fired, but missed End Three, and another lieutenant hit him with a taser gun.
After complaining of pain in the Taser gun, Endsley was arrested and taken to the hospital, Release said.
Jefferson County is west of Denver.
