The body of a missing 16-year-old girl was found on Sunday night at 79th Avenue Causeway near Pelican Harbor Marina in Miami.
A teenager identified by his family as Diana Gomez Sanchez was reported missing on Saturday night after finishing his morning run around 6 am and not returning home. It is printed on it.
“This is a tragic moment beyond words,” said Armando Aguilar, assistant police chief at the Miami Police Station. “Crime detectives are pouring into crime scenes and interviewing witnesses and their families.”
Police responded to the crime scene on Sunday at about 8:30 pm near 1200 blocks northeast 79th Avenue. Aguilar said the autopsy was pending and that investigators would not release any further information on Sunday night, suspecting fraud.
A teenager, whose police say he had blue hair, lived in the Upper East Side area of Miami.
“We don’t want to publish what she was wearing. I hope anyone who may have direct information can tell us what she saw wearing. “I will.” Said Aguilar.
Miami Police Department requires anyone with information to call the crime stopper at (305) 471-8477. As of Sunday night, no arrests have been made.
