An Oconee County elementary school employee has lost her job and is being prosecuted. Quandra Johnson was a non-teacher. Oconee County Elementary Schoolaccording to the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say she left her wallet in the staff restroom on campus overnight. According to a Sheriff’s Office news release, school officials discovered the gun when an employee brought the wallet to the front office.
The sheriff’s office says it has secured the gun and removed it from the campus.

According to the release, investigators have no reason to believe Johnson had any intention of causing harm.
The sheriff’s office said Johnson was fired and arrested for carrying a weapon inside the school’s safe zone.
