A sixth-grade Asian student was reportedly diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after being beaten by four boys in New York City about a week ago.
Students identified only as Emma are immigrants currently enrolled at George J. Ryan Junior High School (JHS 216) in Fresh Meadows, Queens. She has limited English proficiency.
