A news agency reported that a woman died at a theme park in a popular tourist destination in Tennessee.
The woman was declared dead after she was Found under the chairlift In Anakesta Gatlinburg theme parkCity officials told WBIR.
Anakeesta, an email to McClatchy News, said a “tragic incident” had occurred on Thursday, July 28th.
“911 was called immediately,” said a statement. “Our heart is with the deceased’s family. This is an active investigation at this time. We cannot disclose any further information at this time.”
Anakesta has a chairlift WVLT reported that it would bring visitors to the summit where the attraction is located.
Park attractions include duel zipline adventures and the Treetop Skywalk, which consists of bridges 50-60 feet above the ground.
In the park on the homepage, there was a description of “delayed opening” at 10 am on July 29th.
