According to police, registered sex offenders were arrested and charged in connection with a horrific incident in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
According to police, Ripley’s 34-year-old Jimmy Taylor began business on Highway 51 around 5:30 pm on Tuesday, June 21st.
Women in police who met in the business told Dyersburg police that they initially sought a loan when Taylor entered the business, but then raped and sprayed chemicals.
According to police, Taylor then received money from the business and ran away.
Less than two days later, on June 23, Dyersburg police announced that Taylor had been arrested for a horrific crime.
Taylor was developed Wednesday night by a corresponding police officer in the DPD Patrol Department as a person of interest, “said Steve Isbel, Dyersburg Police Chief. “As a result of information gathered by the corresponding police officers and ongoing investigations by the DPD criminal investigation department from last night to today, the suspected violent criminal was quickly arrested.”
Taylor, a sex offender already on the Tennessee Department of Investigation’s sex offender registry, was charged with exacerbated rape, robbery and assault, Dyersburg police said.
