Hurricane-hit Florida teen catches HR, meets Yankees
A mother-child trip to a major league game for Florida families in need of distraction after their home was hit by Hurricane Ian on Tuesday afternoon was much more than that. Samantha Sheffield and her 14-year-old son Braylon were in town from the storm-hit Ft. His life sat on the lower deck in left field of his field. A good fielding center fielder, Braylon reached to his left in front of his mother and caught Peraza’s first major league home run four rows off the wall.
