Airplanes carrying citizens of Afghanistan, the United States, and Europe arrive in Doha from Kabul

Dubai — Qatar officials said a third charter flight to carry civilians from Afghanistan to Qatar landed on Friday since the withdrawal of U.S. forces last month, carrying about 170 passengers, including U.S. and European citizens, Afghanistan. Said.

Foreigners on board include foreigners from Belgium, the United Kingdom, Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and the United States, officials said.

Passengers were transported to Kabul Airport in Qatar’s Convoy after the Gulf Arab countries reached a safe transit agreement with Afghanistan’s dominant Taliban terrorist group, officials said.

In Doha, passengers initially stay in facilities that accept Afghanistan and other evacuees.

Qatar has emerged and there is an important interlocutor between the West and the Taliban. The Gulf States are close allies of the United States, hosting the largest US military base in the Middle East and hosting the Taliban’s political office since 2013.
