Alberta United Conservatives head to poll on final election day to replace Kenny

Albertans will find out today who will be the new prime minister of the province.

The voting by the members of has ended. United The Conservative Party to choose the successor to Prime Minister Jason Kenny.

Kenny announced his resignation in the spring after winning 51 percent of the party leadership’s vote.

There are 124,000 eligible voters, many of whom have already voted by mail.

Voting will take place in person at five different locations today, and the winner will be announced tonight in Calgary.

There are seven candidates in the race, including four former members of the Kenny Cabinet, with former Wild Rose Party leader Daniel Smith being the frontrunner.
