Chicago (AP) — Mike Trout will probably take place that year. The same goes for Jo Adell, another talented outfielder from the Los Angeles Angels.
Coach Joe Maddon said Wednesday that he would be very surprised if Trout played again this season. Three ALMVPs injured the right calf running on the base on May 17, and frustrated last month, but he has the potential to return this year.
10 days after Adele was injured when he hit the left wall while trying to catch Garrett Stubbs’ RBI double in the ninth inning of Angels’ 4-2 victory in Houston on Saturday night. Was put on the injured list.
He hit the back of his head against the wall in the play, but the team said he had tension in his left abdomen.
“On the left side of his body, he feels there something that he can’t really rotate or swing the bat around, and that’s almost it,” Maddon said.
Fourth-placed Angels have 17 games left after beating the Chicago White Sox 3-2 on Wednesday night. Maddon said, “It’s hard to imagine,” while Adele left the possibility of returning.
22-year-old Adele was named Los Angeles, who was ranked 10th in the 2017 Amateur Draft. He made his big league debut last year and hit .161 in 38 games, further highlighting his potential this season.
Adele scored 3 RBIs and 3 RBIs in his season debut with the Angels on August 3rd. He has hit .246 with 4 home runs and 26 RBIs in 35 games.
“There have been great improvements in many of his games,” Maddon said. “You can take any part of it and there are improvements.”
Trout is about to return this year, but after running the base on August 28, he felt pain in his calf. Laughing Maddon calls his comment about Trout an “unofficial statement” and doesn’t want to jump in front of Star Slugger. By excluding him, however, he showed that he didn’t have enough time left to play again.
“I see him doing his job, and it’s the same. It’s like a man wants to be there,” Maddon said. “You see him on a dug out every night, he’s on every pitch. My god, he’s on every pitch. He comes in the course of the game and talks with me about things. He Absolutely fully engaged. “
Infielder Jose Rojas has been recalled from Triple A Salt Lake on behalf of Adele on the roster. Rojas has hit .211 with 4 home runs and 10 RBIs in 46 games against Los Angeles this season.
