Anker today released its second-generation GaN (Gallium Nitride) charger. Compared with the previous generation, this new product is further reduced in size and has better temperature control and efficiency. The power of the new charger covers 30W, 45W and 65W respectively, all of which have a single USB-C port, of which 65W will also introduce a dual USB-C version. Compared with the industry’s “normal” chargers, Anker’s three single-port models are respectively 59%, 34% and 58% smaller in size (where 30W is a fixed pin, and the other two pins are foldable).

In addition, the new product also uses a brand-new PI GaN chip, which further reduces the heat generated when AC is converted to DC, thereby further improving efficiency. Anker introduced that the charger this time complies with the new IEC/EN/UL62368-1 temperature control standard and has a temperature limit of not higher than 77 degrees. In terms of compatibility, the new Power IQ3.0 solution is also applicable to multiple protocols such as PD, PPS, and QC. Currently on JD.com, the price of the new single-port version has been listed. The corresponding prices of 30W, 45W and 65W are 129, 148 and 175 yuan respectively.

In addition, Anker today also brought a batch of “One Piece” co-branded accessories, including 20W Nano charger, 10,000mAh power bank that supports 22.5W charging, 5,000mAh magnetic wireless power bank and so on. However, considering that copyright is estimated to be restricted, it is very likely that this batch of products will only be sold in China.
