AppleAnnounceIt brings upgrades to the Keynote, Pages, and Numbers of its free office software iWork suite. For the increasingly common online collaboration and reporting tasks, Apple has added the “Live Video” function to Keynote. The so-called Live video is to allow users to add a video conference window in the presentation, so that you can present the content in the same field.
Even better, users can also set up a multi-camera array, including adding iPhone/iPad and external camera images to the presentation, or sharing the screen image to improve the efficiency and viewing of the presentation. On the other hand, the remote collaborator of Keynote can also take over as a lecturer. After a simple setting, the playback control of the presentation can be transferred. For example, another group member can continue the report.
Pages, which are used for document editing, have recently been viewed on iPhone. However, the standard file size is displayed on a small screen, and users will inevitably have a hard time viewing it. Apple has added a new “Sreen View” (screen view) function, which allows Pages to rearrange text and charts by itself, while magnifying the content, making it more suitable for reading on a small screen.
The last is Numbers for data sorting. The new pivot table function allows users to quickly summarize, classify and rearrange data to distinguish and analyze patterns and trends. When making a chart, you can also more easily select and classify the data you need, and the pivot table can also be exported to Microsoft Excel for use. Then there is a new chart format “Radar Chart”, which features the ability to compare multiple variables. Similar values will be displayed as overlapping areas, while differences and abnormal values will be more conspicuous. The new filter conditions allow users to find duplicate items and unique values in the data, and at the same time can easily show or hide rows of specific values.
The iWork update is now available on the App Store and Mac App Store, and there are new translation tools that are compatible with iOS 15, iPadOS 15 and macOS Monterey, making it easier for everyone to look at files in foreign languages.
