Interviews, surveillance footage, purchase records, and rideshare data identify Robert Taylor from Arizona as the jackpot winner at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino Progressive Slots Machine in Las Vegas, Nevada on January 8th. Helped to do.

A lucky Arizona man became richer than $ 220,000 in early January after visiting a casino in Las Vegas, but only recently learned about it.

The Nevada Gaming Control Board announced on Friday that Robert Taylor had won the $ 229,368.52 jackpot, but due to a slot machine communication error he was unable to know that he had won the prize.

According to a release from the board, Taylor won the jackpot on January 8th at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino’s Progressive Slots Machine in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, due to a communication error at the time, the slot machine malfunctioned and Taylor and casino personnel were unaware that the jackpot had been hit.

Taylor had returned to Arizona by the time the extensive review of slot machines was completed and communications technology confirmed that he had won the jackpot, the board said in a release.

After the casino was unable to identify the winner of the jackpot, the board’s executives conducted numerous interviews and examined surveillance footage, purchase records, and rideshare data to determine the winner.

The investigation lasted for two weeks and was successful in identifying casino patrons as Taylor, the board said.

James Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of the Board of Directors.

Taylor was notified of the jackpot on January 28th. He will collect prizes on the first weekend of February.
