Astronomers updated the black hole’s photo, adding changes in the magnetic field lines

Since the first directly observed black hole photograph was taken two years ago, the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) project behind it has been working hard to bring a more detailed internal appearance of the M87 galaxy. Now with the addition of a polarizer, we can see for the first time the magnetic field lines of the black hole and how the magnetic field lines interact with matter at the edge of the black hole.
