‘Baywatch’ veteran Donna Derrico shared an image of herself in a gold string bikini on Instagram Wednesday after being told she was “too old” to share skimpy photos online.
Derrico, 54, wrote in the caption, “Trying to stay cool” during the heat wave facing Los Angeles. She said she is praying for Ian’s victims of the hurricane.
“LA heatwave continues. 102 degrees!” Derrico wrote. “Have a nice Wednesday. Please stay cool and pray for those affected by the hurricane,” the caption concluded.
In July, Derrico responded to social media trolls accusing her of being “too old” and “desperate” when she shared a bikini photo online.

“A significant number of women July 4th A video I posted wearing a red white and blue bikini showed them calling me ‘classier’, ‘too old to wear a bikini’, and my favourite, ‘desperate’. Because I thought it was,” she began captioning.
“Let me tell you something that might surprise you,” Derrico added. “I can actually wear it and literally do whatever I want. On that note, this is me in a bikini squatting on a coffee table.

Derrico said he’s still struggling with his body image after the incident, but is “working on it.”
“I was a very shy kid and was bullied a lot at school,” she said. “I grew up and fled to Hollywood to pursue my dreams of becoming an actress, but I started being bullied again. I read a book called The Four Agreements and learned that quitting drugs would change my life. I just noticed, I mean what people say personally.
“I still sometimes make mistakes and take things personally. Then I have to read the book again to stay immune to the tricks of their Jedi mind. We I think we live in a time now when people are tired of all the critical bullshit—.Or maybe I just got older and don’t care anymore. is a little bit of both.
