Beirut skyline darkens during power crisis


Lebanon suffered a national power outage over the weekend after two major power plants went offline due to running out of fuel. In recent months, Lebanese have received only one or two hours of state power a day and have experienced nearly 24 hours of power outages. The Mediterranean countries have been fighting one of the worst economic crises on the planet since the 1850s and have been struggling to import enough fuel oil into their power plants in recent months.
