Biden addresses computer outage that forced FAA to halt all US departures

President Biden, who left the White House on Wednesday morning, said the Federal Aviation Administration was in contact with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg about the computer outage that forced it to suspend all domestic flights. Biden said the cause of the computer failure is still unknown. Just before 9:00 a.m. ET, the FAA announced that “normal air traffic control is gradually being resumed” and that the ground stop was lifted.
