Chicago (AP) — Chicago Blackhawks forward Jacob Trouba was stretched out of the ice after being leveled by New York Rangers defense Jacob Trouba on Tuesday night.
The Blackhawks said Kayla had been “hit her upper body” and was taken by ambulance to the Northwest Hospital for further examination.
Kayla’s head, which gathered in the pack at 6:10 in the second term, was down. Torva seemed to push his right shoulder into his chin. Kyra’s head bounced off the ice and there were no signs of movement as the Blackhawks and Rangers brawled nearby.
Medical personnel worked on Kayla as the stretchers were carried onto the ice and teams watched from the bench area. When Kyra took off, only a handful of his teammates and Rangers struck the stretcher.
Riley Stillman of the Blackhawks fought Torva about two minutes later.
The 27-year-old Kayla has two goals and no assistance in the 17 games of the first season against the Blackhawks.
