French Le Pen says it will shut down wind turbines if elected
France’s far-right presidential candidate Marine Le Pen said Thursday that it would end all subsidies for renewable energy and shut down France’s wind turbines if elected next year. Le Pen, a candidate for the Nationalist Party in the April vote, is expected to participate in the second round of the 2017 election and do so again, but several recent polls have shown a right-wing talk show. Star Eric Zemmour can make her the best if he decides to run. Environment Minister Barbara Pompiri dismissed Le Pen’s statement on Twitter.
