‘Brutal’ attack on pregnant woman in Publix ends when witness pulls out gun, says Florida cop


A bystander pointed a gun at a man accused of punching and stepping on his pregnant girlfriend outside a Publix supermarket, ending a “brutal” attack, Florida lawmakers say.

According to the arrest affidavit, the incident occurred in the parking lot of a Largo grocery store around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22.
