Caroline Simard, Vice Chairman of Broadcasting for the Canadian Radio and Television Communications Commission, has been appointed as Canada’s new election observer.
Canada’s Chief Election Commissioner, Stephane Perrault, today announced that Simard will be a member of the Canadian Elections in August.
The Commissioner is responsible for the enforcement of election law and investigates violations along with other enforcement activities.
In a statement, Perot said Simal would help protect the integrity of the voting system and maintain public confidence in federal elections.
Simal will take over from Yveskote, who has completed his 10-year term as Commissioner of Baseball in Canada.
Perot thanked Kote for his tireless efforts and dedication to serving Canadians throughout his career as a civil servant, not just as a member of the election.
