Prosecutors to File Final Case for Execution of School Shooter
Nicholas Cruz, the lead prosecutor for the Florida school shooting that killed 17 people, said Tuesday that the 2018 attack was calm, calculated and meticulously planned. He gave a final push to convince the jury to give the death sentence in closing arguments that he was a thing and deserved execution. Mike Sutz said Cruz stalked his three-story classroom building at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland for seven minutes, firing an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifle at several victims. “I was looking for a victim,” he said as he fired at close range and returned to wounded victims.
