Ottawa requires federal employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Dominic LeBlanc, chairman of the Privy Council, says the government expects employers in the federal regulated industry to do the same.

Nearly another million people work in the federal regulated industry, including banks and airlines.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a week ago that he had asked the country’s top bureaucrat, the Secretary-General of the Privy Council, to consider his mission.

Transport Minister Omar Argabra says transport workers will need vaccines by the fall.
