A cyberattack paralyzes JBS, the world’s largest meat processing company, shuts down operations in Australia, and is expected to shut down further across the Americas.
JBS Australia, an Australian subsidiary, closed its business on Monday and was forced to cancel processing orders for beef and lamb.
CEO Brent Eastwood confirmed the attack, saying that the attack on JBS’s information technology system would affect meat sales and lot feeding operations, and livestock could not be raised without the IT system running.
