Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) responded to President Joe Biden’s Thanksgiving plan in Limerick’s first line, and Twitter users considered it poetic and self-owned.
Following reports of Biden celebrating a holiday with his family in Nantucket, Cruz tweeted this reference to Limerick, “there was once a man from Nantucket.”
Some critics asked Cruz if he really knew how the mischievous version of Limerick ended up and what it meant.
Others have finished poetry for him.
Meanwhile, many suggested that Cruz was the last person to comment on his vacation plans when he was hit by a devastating winter storm on a family trip in Cancun.
