Western states sizzling as heat rises this week
Summer heat is expected to increase in the west this week as the weather pattern gradually changes. Cities such as Seattle, Portland, and Medford, Oregon, are expected to see 10 to 18 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than average over the next few days, forecasters said. “Similar to recent hot stretches, this is caused by a large bulge in the jet stream that will continue to lift the storm track northwards, allowing temperatures to skyrocket in the coming days,” AccuWeather Met explained.
