A monk was attacked by five suspects in a robbery at a Buddhist temple in South Nashville, Tennessee.
Police are looking for a man and four women. attacked a monk At Wat Lao Buddhist Temple on Old Hickory Boulevard Around 9:00 am November 27th.
The monk allegedly heard a knock and opened the door, whereupon the suspect broke in and knocked the monk to the ground. According to the monk, he was being held down. at least two women roamed the temple I stole cash for a few minutes.
As the group was leaving, the priest grabbed one of the women’s school bags and tried to stop them. According to police, it was then that the suspect “bonded” with the monk until the woman was free.

Metropolitan Nashville Police have released surveillance footage of five suspects fleeing the scene. They reportedly drove off in a silver Toyota van.
“They were always peaceful and very good neighbors,” said Charles Pickney, a resident of the area. News 2“It’s like a little campground where people can come on a Saturday night and enjoy being with their temple friends, but that’s okay.”
