New details about sudden death have been released Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins..
Hawkins, a 25-year-old drummer of the Foo Fighters, died in Colombia on Friday, the band said in a statement on Friday.
On Saturday, the Colombian Minister of Health confirmed in a press release that the 50-year-old drummer died in the town of Chapinero after suffering chest pain at a hotel.

“The city’s Emergency and Emergency Regulatory Center received a report of a patient with chest pain at a hotel located north of the city. An ambulance was dispatched to respond to the incident,” translated into English. The press release states.

“But there was no response and the patient was declared dead,” the release added.

Hawkins bandmate announced his death on Friday night.

He starred in the recently released Foo Fighters horror comedy movie “Studio 666.” In this movie, the devilish power of the house where the band is staying captures Groll and kills him.
The band is currently touring South America and was planning a show in Bogotá, Colombia on Friday night. Hawkins’ last concert was Sunday at another festival in San Isidro, Argentina.
The cause of death has not yet been announced.
The US Embassy in Bogotá expressed condolences in a tweet.

Some legendary musicians expressed sadness in the news.
