Former Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to be tested for feeling unwell

JERUSALEM — Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was tested after feeling unwell during Jewish Day of Atonement prayers, his office said in a statement Wednesday.

“Former Prime Minister Netanyahu felt sick while praying in the synagogue.

Netanyahu added that he will undergo further tests at a hospital “to remove suspicion”.

The former prime minister, Israel’s longest-serving prime minister, will lead a bloc of right-wing and religious parties ahead of general elections on November 1.
