According to an excerpt from a new book, a former palace insider said he thought Meghan Markle would become the “British Beyoncé” after joining the royal family.
The Times of London The allegations were announced Sunday in an excerpt from “Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown” by Valentine Lowe.
While discussing Markle’s eventual departure to the United States with Prince Harry, 38, a former palace insider told Lowe that Markle, 41, is having trouble adjusting to the royal lifestyle.
“I think Meghan thought she was going to be Britain’s Beyoncé. Being part of the royal family would give her that credit,” a former palace insider told Low. There were so many silly rules that you couldn’t even do as a private individual, which is a big deal.”
The source also told Low that he believes the way the couple’s departure was handled was “incredibly incompetent”. added that they struggled to find a compromise on their departure.
“Harry and Meghan felt stymied, misunderstood and deeply unhappy. never ended happily.
A former palace insider told Low: “We’ve had decision-makers sit around the table and say, ‘OK, what are you going to do about this? What do you need to feel better?’ What can I give you?”
Another excerpt from Low’s book made headlines this week. Markle threatened to break up with Prince Harry If he didn’t publicly confirm their relationship in a statement.
The second excerpt claimed: Prince Harry and Markle’s team called themselves the ‘Sussex Survivors Club’ Due to the difficult working relationship with the couple.
