According to the release, Fort Worth’s Texas Osteopathic Medical College was named the best osteopathic school in the country.
The US News and World Report’s annual list of best-performing medical schools for primary care has placed the school at the top of the United States for the second consecutive year.
The Osteopathic School, graduated by an Osteopathic Doctor (known as DO), complements the traditional medical school curriculum with touch-based diagnostics and treatment of health problems. This is commonly referred to as a more comprehensive approach to medicine, and DO does not need to have a specialty.
TCOM is one of several graduate programs that make up the University of North Texas Health Sciences Center (HSC) in Fort Worth.
TCOM has also risen 15 spots since 2020, ranking it as the 57th best medical school in the country.
Osteopathic Medical College is the 52nd largest graduate in rural areas, the 2nd largest in Texas, and the 64th graduate in 2012-14 who practices direct patient care in areas where there is a shortage of medical professionals. It was ranked in the rank.
