The owner of the restaurant, Eric Smith, 54, who had been missing for nearly two weeks, was found dead in a big bear.
“We received the news we were afraid of,” said Smith’s wife, Heather. “The sheriff has informed us that he found Eric in the woods.”
An agent was sent to the Big Bear Forest at 12:53 pm on Wednesday, July 6th. Upon arrival, they found Smith and confirmed his death at 1:05 pm, sheriff officials said.

Sheriff officials did not provide further details about Smith’s death or how they found him, but on Thursday his wife told his body that they were near Highway 38 and Hatchary Drive. Said I found.
Smith’s body was within four miles south of his home, near 400 blocks of the Wagon Wheelway, and left on the morning of June 27.
“They found him lying on the ground in a tree. He was using Trader Joe’s bag as a pillow,” Smith said. “The coroner said he looked peaceful, as he lay down and fell asleep there.”
According to Smith, there are no signs of trauma to her husband’s body and the cause of his death is unknown.
“I am truly grateful for all the support we have received last week,” Smith said. “Our family is devastated and sad. But we have a lot of families to help us, and so many kind and generous people to help us where we need them. I have intervened. “

Sheriff officials added that Smith was considered a “serious missing person” because he was reported missing by his family on the night of his disappearance and recently showed cognitive impairment.

Smith’s wife and staff said he was finally seen walking downhill or south on Highway 38. He had a black and red Trader Joe’s bag. He left without a phone, key and wallet.
