The Epoch Times is looking for journalists from all over Australia to cover local, national and Pacific news.

Essential to this role is a passion for news, at least a year of professional writing or reporting experience, and the ability to create well-written stories by the deadline. News reporting allows you to keep up to date with the company’s values ​​of accurate and honest reporting, while providing your own reporting through corporate and feature articles.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Australia or abroad. However, applicants who have completed a university degree for at least four semesters are also considered. Alternatively, the applicant must prove that he has at least two years of professional writing experience.

Applicants must also demonstrate their proficiency in written and oral English.

Obligation

– Find and market relevant local stories of your country.
– Develop and maintain a pipeline of midrange and long length articles.
– Look for primary sources and conduct your own interviews.
– Accept assignments to run national story reports.
– Adhere to the Journalism Code of Ethics and the Epoch Times reporting guidelines.

Successful applicants will do the following:

– Investigate topics, write clear and concise sentences by the deadline, and develop excellent narrative skills in feature articles.
– Have excellent research skills and a solid ability to tell complex stories in a relevant way
– Being able to capture well-structured still images is a big plus, but not required.
