Gaza-Israeli fighters attacked Gaza after a rocket was launched from Palestine territory on Saturday, hours after US President Joe Biden flew from Israel to Saudi Arabia on a trip to the Middle East.
Israeli troops said they had attacked two facilities belonging to Hamas, a group of Islamic terrorists who govern the blocked strips. One of the targets was an underground rocket factory, the military said.
Witnesses in Gaza described two locations that were attacked as Hamas training camps. No injuries have been reported.
Hamas condemned Biden’s visit to Israel and the United States’ support for Israel.
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said armed groups fired on Israeli planes.
In southern Israel, two sirens sounded early Saturday to warn of the launch of rockets.
The military said one rocket was intercepted and three projectiles landed in open space.
No group claimed responsibility for the launch.
