Toronto (AP) — Goran Dragic has left the Toronto Raptors due to personal problems.

The Raptors said the team didn’t have a 35-year-old guard with Precious Achiuwa on an off-season contract to send Kyle Lowry to Miami on Sunday before the match with the Boston Celtics.

“First of all, he’s a really good guy, very professional, very smart … it’s fun to be around and coach,” said Nick Nurse.

Dragic from Slovenia played an average of 8.0 points, 1.8 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 17.9 minutes in just five games against the Raptors. He has played only once since October 25th.

Bobby Webster, Raptors’ general manager, said Dragic had “full support” for the team.

“He was a complete professional when he was with the Raptors. Golan was a great mentor for our young players and an important teammate for veterans,” Webster said in a statement. “He keeps exercising and staying fit during the holidays.”

Webster said there is no clear schedule for returns.
