Grandma dies after saving granddaughter from jumping into creek to save puppy, Indiana police say

Christine Bright took her granddaughter’s life in exchange for her own, her family says.

It’s not clear what caused Bright to collapse, but police say the rescue likely caused a medical problem, WRTV reports.

“I know for a fact that if she had to do it all over again, she would,” Shay told the station. “If she knew the outcome, she would do it again.”
