Christine Bright took her granddaughter’s life in exchange for her own, her family says.

However, the girl could not get out of the water by herself and began to struggle. Her Bright came in and saved her.
“She died heroically,” Shay wrote.
The girl managed to pull her grandmother out of the water, but she collapsed near the shore and was unable to revive her.
“She was my best friend and always made sacrifices for me and my daughters,” Shay told TV station WRTV. “This was just her.” final act of sacrificial loveShe loved him deeply and dearly. And I am completely blessed to be her daughter. ”
puppyLily was swept away and later found dead, a local animal shelter confirmed.
It’s not clear what caused Bright to collapse, but police say the rescue likely caused a medical problem, WRTV reports.
Shay told WTHR that she’s pregnant with a boy.It’s sad that his mother won’t be able to see him, but he will grow up knowing she has courage and love.
“I know for a fact that if she had to do it all over again, she would,” Shay told the station. “If she knew the outcome, she would do it again.”
