Catalan television showed footage that appears to have been taken by a single cell phone jumping through a window on the third floor to a mattress piled up on the sidewalk to cushion the impact. Local media reported that at least one more person had to jump out to escape the flames.

Paramedic spokesman Zulma Itza said that in addition to one man in crisis, two others are in serious condition.
