According to Italian authorities, an Italian tugboat with six people on board and sunk in the Milan-Adriatic Sea and five crew members missing.
The Coast Guard and other authorities were looking for four Italians and one Tunisian sailor. Officials said the search was complicated by the strong winds.
Only the captain survived and was rescued from the sea by a Croatian boat in the area.
Tugboat Franco P warned port authorities that he was sinking about 50 miles off the southern Italian city of Bari while pulling a flopoon from the port of Ancona, Italy, to Dures on Wednesday night.
Float, with 11 people on board, was rescued while drifting.
It was not immediately clear why the tugboat caused the cap size.
