“Jersey Shore” star arrested on suspicion of domestic violence

Los Angeles (AP) — “Jersey Shore” star Ronnie Ortiz Tuna was arrested Thursday for investigating felony domestic violence, police said.

Ortiz Tuna, 35, was arrested on the coast of Playa del Rey in Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles Police Department police officer William Cowper.

Police said Ortiz Tuna was arrested on suspicion of violating California law targeting violence against intimate partners. No other details about the person were given.

Ortiz-Magro lawyers Scott E. Leemon and Leonard Levine said they were just aware of the new allegations and needed time to investigate before commenting.

Ortiz-Magro was previously arrested in 2019 on suspicion of domestic violence. Last year he did not challenge domestic violence and resisted his arrest. He has remained on probation since the incident.

Reality TV stars starred in MTV’s original “Jersey Shore” from 2009 to 2012, and more recently in its sequel series “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.”
