Keanu Reeves Said Esquire Thanks to the 1992 “Dracula” wedding scene, he is technically married to Winona Ryder “in front of God.”
The pair was a movie star directed by Francis Ford Coppola and even hired a real priest in the scene where Reeves and the characters of the rider got married, and wanted to make the movie as realistic as possible.
While appearing in Esquire’s “Explain This” series, Reeves was asked to explain if he was really married to the rider. A 2018 article that the rider said so.
“We had all the weddings with a real monk,” Reeves replied. “Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I think we are married in front of God.”
Rider first revealed Interview with Entertainment Weekly In 2018 she and Reeves actually got married in “Dracula”.
“We actually got married in’Dracula’. No, I think we’re married in real life,” she told EW. “In that scene, Francis [Ford Coppola] I used a real Romanian priest. We shot the Master, and he did everything. So I think we are married. “
The rider then reminded Reeves, who was also part of the interview, that he had gone through the entire ceremony, including “I do.”
