In the episode, Kardashian traveled to Paris for Paris Fashion Week with her eldest daughter, North West, and Kardashian was walking for Balenciaga. The pair also attended Jean-Paul Gaultier’s Fall/Winter fashion show for her couture, styled by Rousteing.
While she was with North, Rousteing, and her mother, Kris Jenner, Kardashian shared an intimate anecdote about Rousteing and the iconic Balmain gown he designed for her.
“Northy, I’ve known Olivier since before you were a baby and he gave my dad this blue dress that he wanted for me,” Kardashian quipped with a bite of French fries and a sip of Coca-Cola. “It was my birthday a year before you were born and I wore that dress. I got pregnant and you were in my belly the night I wore that dress.” .”
“So Olivier might have a little something to do with why you’re on this planet,” she continued.
Kardashian wore the dress in question to the Angel Ball on Oct. 22, 2012, about eight months before North West’s birthday, June 15, 2013.
Rousteing previously talked about the dress and North’s subsequent envisioning in a Q&A video on Kardashian’s app in 2016. It was a “long electric blue dress” requested by her then-husband Ye (formerly known as Kanye West). Kardashian wore it that night.
“I don’t know if I can say it, maybe it’s a secret, but I know what Kanye said to me. So I just wanted to share it with you guys.”
