Kori resigns from India’s T20 captain after World Cup


New Delhi (AP) — Virat Kohli will resign from his role as captain of the Twenty20 team in India after this year’s World Cup.

Kori said in Twitter statement On Thursday he wanted to “give himself space” to continue to lead the Indian test and ODI teams.

“It’s very important to understand the workload. Given my huge workload over the last 8-9 years, I’ve played all 3 formats for the last 5-6 years and have been a regular captain. Team Intest and ODI Cricket, “he tweeted. “I gave everything to the team during my time as T20 captain.”

32-year-old Kori said he was still available to the T20 team as a batter.

The T20 World Cup in United Arab Emirates and Oman will begin next month.
