Ukrainian paramedics said in a television statement Tuesday that five people were killed in a Russian attack on the Kyiv television tower.
The footage released by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko shows the moment the projectile hit the tower before it was engulfed in flames and black smoke rose.
Earlier, Russia’s defense ministry said it was planning to attack the capital’s communications and intelligence sites, which it said was being used for “information attacks,” media outlet TASS said.
