Magnitude 5.5 strike earthquake near the coast of Nicaragua: EMSC

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred near the coast of Nicaragua.

The quake was 64 km (40 miles) deep, EMSC said. The epicenter was 15km southwest of Chinandega.
