Marco Rubio has a strange solution to student loan debt, and Twitter can’t stand it

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said he found a way to pay off his debt. scholarship But many Twitter users don’t think it’s that easy.

fox news host Brian Kilmeadeafter the segment about the president Joe Bidenof student loan debt determinationasked Rubio if politicians could be “successful” and “tell people to pull themselves up with their bootstraps.”

Rubio said that any successful politician could absolutely do it, and suggested one of the student loan debt solutions that worked for him. It’s writing a book.

“I owed over $100,000 in student loans. The day I was elected to the Senate, I still had over $100,000 in student loans, but because I wrote the book, I was able to pay them off, and that money I was able to pay with ,” said Rubio.

“Otherwise I would still be paying for it.”

You can watch a clip of Rubio’s literary proposal below.

A Twitter user who spotted the clip on Saturday suggested that Rubio’s remarks were a hilarious departure from most Americans.
